Northshore Nursery is proud to be a Certified Proven Winners Garden Center, marking us as one of the best local garden centers with one of the biggest selection of quality plants and garden accessories available. However, we are even prouder that in July 2021 our owner, Mike Newman was selected to attend the Proven Winners Leaderboard event in Grand Rapids, MI. Only the top Proven Winners certified horticulturists are selected to attend this special event.

Spring Meadow Nursery is the nation's number one propagator of Proven Winner shrubs and they served as the host venue for this year's prestigious event. Mike was invited to attend having been recognized as one of the top 200 Proven Winners Shrub growers in the United States!

The main focus of the leaderboard event is business development. The invited growers were educated on the latest plant varieties, the research, and development process for new plants, and tips for merchandising and advertising the Proven Winners brand. It was also an amazing opportunity for Mike to network with some of the other top growers in the horticulture industry.
